I'm trying to put together the finished lists--this year, I think I will do several:  one for metal (it was a great year for metal), one for non-metal (yeah, I know that's not really a good category, but I mainly just wanted to separate the metal out since not everybody is into it), maybe some honorable mention lists, and another list of best songs of the year (as there are several songs that I thought were great but the artists didn't necessarily make it onto the other lists).  For the most part, I have things narrowed down, but as always, as other people start putting out their lists, I find a few things that I missed and still want to check out.  As it stands, you can bet that most things you will see will be from these first two groupings, below.
